Here Comes The Sun: Photograph of the sun shining through a cloud-wrapped stand of trees atop Hawk Hill, in the Marin Headlands just outside of San Francisco, California.

Here Comes The Sun

Marin County, CA, 2006
Limited Edition Pigment Print

As often happens, I went out early on one July morning with a laundry list of photos to take, and came back with something entirely unexpectedly different! As day broke, a thin layer of clouds kissed the top of the hills of the Marin Headlands, across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, California. Cresting Conzelman Road and beginning my descent towards the Pacific, this vision appeared in my rear view. For a good twenty minutes, the rising sun shone through the trees atop Hawk Hill, casting countless shards of light into the fog.

From the Beyond City Limits series.
